Partner Coordinators

It is helpful for the Partner Coordinators to know your plans for each series so that they have some idea of the numbers who will be playing and who to contact if partners are being sought. For example:

Are you available to play? If so, which weeks?

Have you arranged a partner? If so, what is your partner's name?
Do you require a partner?

Please record the name(s) of your partner(s) (or request one) on the sheet provided at bridge sessions. A SMS (text) will also be sent. Please respond to the SMS but do not use the number for subsequent communication with the partner coordinator. Responses to the SMS go to a webpage which is not accessed regularly.

If you require a partner (or a session substitute), telephone the appropriate partner coordinator. The coordinator will do their best to help you find a partner.

If you have a partner arranged and cannot attend any session it is essential you immediately notify the partner coordinator as there may be another Member who can play for you.

This is especially important when the event is Teams or Swiss Pairs and there MUST be an equal number of Teams/Pairs playing.
For all events, should a substitute not be found, you must also inform your partner of the situation.

Please also let Partner Coordinators know when you are unavailable to play even if you and your Partner both decide not to play. Whilst it is not essential to do this when a Partnership withdraws, it assists the Director to know the numbers playing before play begins. So if you are both withdrawing please endeavour to let the Partner Coordinator know.
